A little fabric storage box handmade by me from cotton and Japanese zakka ribbon, depicting Little Red Riding Hood... so cute! Available here.

vintage finds - j&g meakin tea set

To be honest, it's all about the teapot for me... but it's nice to have a matching sugar bowl and milk jug :) The design is topic, and the set is by j&g meakin.

etsy treasury inspired by j&g meakin

I bought a lovely J&G Meakin tea set, which arrived today (I'll take a photo and add it here soon). The colours are so fresh and crisp, like new in fact. I put together this etsy treasury inspired by the colour and design. You can view the original treasury here.

vintage find - hornsea pots and orla kiely fabric

Another Hornsea pottery find, this time some lovely pots in the gourmet 66 design. I think they were originally salt or pepper pots. Absolutely love the pattern and colour. I also bought a couple of pieces of Orla Kiely fabric, which I'm planning on turning into cushion covers.

vintage finds - wooden sewing box and hornsea jam pot

The wooden sewing box was a boot sale find this weekend, it needs a bit of TLC but I love the shape. I've developed a bit of an obsession with hornsea pottery recently, I found this heirloom jam pot on ebay and had to have it! It's from the 1970's and I love the design.

daytrip to whitstable

Whitstable is such a lovely seaside town. We spent Saturday afternoon looking through the independent shops and charity shops on the high street, before walking through to the harbour. The beach huts along the seafront are very cute too.

rustic striped tea cosy

Today I added a striped tea cosy to my shop, it has a lovely rustic feel. I had fun taking the photos too, using some wooden letter tiles from an old board game called 'Ad-Lib' I found in a charity shop last weekend.

vintage finds - bradwell moorland milk jug and french crochet

I found this little milk jug at the Shepton Mallet antiques fair last month. The design is Bradwell by UK Staffordshire pottery Moorland. I love the art deco shape and colours! The crochet doily is French, I hand stitched it onto a cushion cover, which is available to buy in my etsy shop.

I've added a couple of new cushion designs to my etsy shop over the past couple of days. LOVE and HOME are both available in 14 colour combinations.

marmalade making!

I've been meaning to make marmalade for a while, so today I used Pam Corbin's recipe. It worked perfectly, although it was a very sticky process, and boy there was a lot of sugar! Now we have 4 lovely jars of seville marmalade to keep us going this year.
